Who is this course for?

This qualification will prepare you for employment in Beauty Therapy Massage. You will also be eligible to join a professional association and gain insurance as a massage therapist. Career opportunities as a massage therapist exist in a variety of contexts, including:

– Working in commercial beauty salons
– Working in destination and day spas
– Working independently/self-employed/mobile/home-based settings

This is one of two VTCT qualifications in Beauty Therapy massage at Level 3. Whilst both qualifications qualify you to become a Massage Therapist, this qualification requires you to work in a commercial salon whereby assessments must be carried out on real paying clients in line with commercial service times.

Who is this course for?

This qualification is designed for learners aged 19 years or over and will support you to gain employment as a nail technician, as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role. Entry onto this qualification can be via previous attainment of a Level 2 qualification in beauty therapy and/or a successful skills test and interview.

This qualification includes all the required elements to work effectively as a nail technician including: enhance and maintain nails using UV gel and liquid and powder.

You will also develop your understanding and skills by selecting a number of optional specialist units which include: designing and creating nail art, air brush designs, enhancing nails with electric files, wraps, promoting products and contributing to the financial effectiveness of a business. The structure of this qualification provides you with the opportunity to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required for a career as a nail technician.

Who is this course for?

This is a vocational qualification and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a nail technician including, mandatory units covering the following: providing manicures and pedicures, applying and maintaining nail enhancements, maintaining personal health and well-being, health and safety and client care.

You will also have the opportunity to further develop your understanding and skills by selecting a number of optional specialist units which include: designing and applying nail art, enhancing nails with electric files, promoting products and displaying stock to promote sales. Who is this course for?

This qualification has been specifically designed to build on existing knowledge and understanding of hairdressing and will develop an enhanced repertoire of technical skills to prepare learners for employment as a senior hairdresser/stylist. Learners will work in, and have their hairdressing skills assessed in a ‘real’ commercial salon.

This qualification includes all the required elements to work effectively as an advanced hairdresser/stylist including: health and safety; client consultation; advanced cutting and; selling products and services to clients. These units are all mandatory.

Who is this course for?

The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Complementary Therapies (QCF) is a technical level qualification that provides learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills to work as an employed and/or self-employed complementary therapist, either within the National Health Service or in private practice. This qualification is based on Skills for Health Complementary Therapy National Occupational Standards (NOS) and Core Curricula published by lead bodies in the sector. This qualification is recognised by the UK’s largest complementary therapy trade body/professional association, The Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and also the UK’s second largest association representing complementary therapists; the British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (BABTAC) as being fit for purpose for preparing learners for a career as a complementary therapist.

Learners who complete this qualification are eligible to register with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) which is the government backed voluntary regulator for the sector. CNHC registration is compulsory for all complementary therapists who work in the NHS.

Learners who complete this qualification are eligible to become a State Registered Hairdresser (SRH) with The Hairdressing Council.

The VTCT Level 4 Diploma in Permanent Hair Removal and Skin Rejuvenation is a vocational qualification aimed at learners who wish to pursue a career as an employed and/or self-employed beauty therapist specialising in hair removal and skin rejuvenation.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, although it is considered advantageous for the learners to hold a relevant Level 2 or equivalent Beauty Therapy qualification.
