Praise for Progress to Excellence and its support for local community
The Progress to Excellence ethos of “giving back” to the local community has been applauded at a major business event on Merseyside.
Progress to Excellence Group managing director Sandra Kirkham (pictured) was a keynote speaker at the Wirral Connect Corporate Social Responsibility Fair, an event to celebrate organisations that support their local communities.
After the event, Wirral Connect chief executive Paul Growney said: “Progress to Excellence is leading the way for CSR in the region – here is a company where supporting the community runs right through the whole organisation.
“Sandra’s work in creating an organisational ethos based on community and giving back is both innovative and groundbreaking, improving the lives of countless individuals and communities across the region.
“The CSR Fair was a great success and we had an excellent mixture of business and charities represented, all looking at developing partnerships to support the local community.
“Corporate social responsibility is immensely important, now more than ever, not only to support communities but also to ensure the wellbeing of employees.”
Sandra Kirkham added: “There is a passion within our business to ensure quality training and education are at the heart of everything we do to raise standards and ultimately make life better for people and clients in their care.
“However, at the core of Progress to Excellence is our ethos of corporate social responsibility when employees are encouraged to help make a difference to the local community by ‘giving omething back’ and becoming involved in charity initiatives and volunteering.
“Every employee knows and experiences the benefits of working to this code.”
As well as being actively involved in the Wirral Connect Corporate Social Responsibility Fair, held at the Floral Pavilion, New Brighton, Progress to Excellence has also been hosting a series of workshops to highlight to businesses the importance of supporting their local communities.
