Progress to Excellence Group MD spearheads trade links with Isle of Man
Sandra Kirkham, Managing Director of Progress to Excellence Group, is spearheading a move to forge important trade links between Wirral and the Isle of Man with a top level visit to the island on Wednesday (September 19).
Sandra, whose group of companies operates in the UK training and education sectors, will be guest speaker in the first of a series of new business events being organised by the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce.
She will be part of a Wirral Chamber of Commerce delegation with specific expertise in construction and training in this sector.
Progress to Excellence Group is currently undergoing a major expansion programme which will see it housing seven subsidiaries operating in commercial training, adult skills training and the provision of independent alternative education for young people.
Sandra said: “I am looking forward immensely to meeting up with the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce and businesses on the island in this new initiative to discover how we can create effective relationships and all work more closely together.
“A collaborative approach like this is an important step towards developing the island’s training infrastructure which can only result in the creation of many new opportunities for us all and contribute to the plugging of regional skills gaps.
“Wirral is now economically one of the fastest growing regions in the UK and we are delighted, as a patron member of Wirral Chamber, to be supporting it in its efforts to expand vital programmes of growth.”
Paula Basnett, Chief Executive of Wirral Chamber, added: “A key objective of the Chamber is to extend and strengthen our links to businesses and organisations on the Isle of Man.
“We have formed an excellent working relationship with colleagues within the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce and, with the support of our members such as Progress to Excellence Group, it gives us a great opportunity to further develop key links and contacts between our respective business communities.”
